S3. Episode 18: I’m Grateful For YOU! (Round 2) – Show Notes

This is the second annual episode that is a tribute to YOU! Tune in as Bailey expresses her gratitude and appreciation to you.

12 Journal Prompts for Healing

I’ve been seeing a therapist for over a decade now and she’s been recommending for years that I engage in journaling as a healthy coping mechanism in order to help me work through and heal from my past traumas. I’ve decided to give in and do some journaling, specifically around this topic. Except… I had absolutely no idea where to start. I stared down at the empty page and racked my brain for a few moments before giving up and heading over to Pinterest to see what prompts were out there.

S3. Episode 17: Sobriety + Bipolar Disorder = The Way to Go! – Show Notes

In this episode, Bailey tells her story of how she came to choose a life of sobriety, along with why it’s a healthy choice for her since she’s diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She recounts real-life events that happened throughout her drinking days and how she wouldn’t have been in these awful situations had she not been drunk. Additionally, she informs you of research that she’s found which helps support her decision to stay sober. She hopes you’ll find the strength to do the same, if you feel that a life of sobriety may be best for you too.

Mood Sewciety Pattern Review: The Piper Shorts

One thing that both my friend and I have noticed is that there is a lack of reviews of these free patterns. Sure, you can scroll to the bottom of each post to read the comments, but that doesn’t suffice when exploring new patterns and trying to learn about how well they work. Therefore, I’ve decided that I’m going to take it upon myself to write my own reviews for each pattern that I try out, in hopes of helping others when they go to try them for themselves.

Here, you’ll find my review of The Piper Shorts, complete with photos and links. Please feel free to leave a comment at the very bottom with your thoughts, any information you think I may have missed, questions or with the outcome of your own sewing project after checking out my review.

4 Fabulous Birthday Photoshoot Ideas

I’ve now completed a total of 4 different birthday photoshoots – all of which have a unique theme to them – and I’ve decided to share them all with you in hopes of inspiring your next birthday photoshoot! 😇 Below are all four themes and the different components that I used for them. Enjoy and happy creative planning, friend!

S3. Episode 16: Dude, What’s Your Problem? – Show Notes

Tune in as Bailey speaks from the heart about how bipolar disorder often turns her tone of voice into an aggressive one. When anger or frustration arise, it often comes out onto whoever happens to be nearby, although it may have absolutely nothing to do with the other person involved. She hopes that hearing her describe how bipolar disorder can often take over her emotions will help you better understand why people you know (or even sometimes people you don’t know!) may do this to you for seemingly no reason.

S2. Episode 10: “Rest When You’re Stressed” – Show Notes

Bailey takes a moment to spill the beans about how stress has taken over her life in recent weeks. Tune in as she talks extensively about the book, “Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle” by Emily & Amelia Nagoski, what she’s learned from it that has helped her relieve stress and how this has helped with managing her bipolar disorder. She’ll leave you with a small, simple challenge that, when practiced daily, can bring enormous change.

Episode 22. “Uhm, Happy Holidays?” – Show Notes

Tune in as Bailey discusses her issues with the holidays in the past and why they’ve not always been very “merry and bright”. Listen as she encourages you to break-free of any miserable holiday traditions that you’ve been painfully enduring for far too long. Your mental health matters and should be put first, always.

S3. Episode 15: Oops, I Fucked Up – Show Notes

Tune in as Bailey tells alllll about a recent fuck-up that she did along with the consequences that it entailed.. She hopes that you’ll be able to learn from her mistakes. After all, in the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, “learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.”
